H.264 ist der neueste Standard bei der HD-Video-Komprimierung und findet auch Verwendung bei HDTV-Übertragungen, HD-DVD und BlueRay.
Videodateien die mit diesem H.264 Codec encodiert wurden, benötigen weniger Speicherplatz auf der Festplatte. Der Dvico TVIX M-6500A kann gespeicherte Filme die in H.264 Standard encodiert wurden, bis zu einer Auflösung von 1080p wiedergeben.
Serial-ATA ist der neue Standard für den Anschluss von Festplatten. Die neuen SATA-Festplatten unterstützen höhere Bandbreiten und sind leichter zu Installieren als die alten IDE (PATA)-Festplatten. SATA-Festplatte bieten auch für die Zukunft Speicherplatz weit über 1TB.

TViX HD can be networked with a PC system using its built-in LAN port. You are able to navigate to a file in a PC on TVIX Boxs network and play the file from its original destination without having to first copy it onto the TVIX Box HD.

TViX’s FTP server function not only just can make the file delete, copy, move by LAN cable, but also you can access it by internet .so wherever you are you can easily access to your folder if you have your own IP address.
